Scholarship Search Initiative

The Student Scholarship Program prepares students for higher learning by proactively taking steps to minimize debt accumulation by students and parents.

PROGRAM BENEFITS

  • Laptops will be provided by the Tabernacle Community Development Corporation

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

  • Students currently enrolled in 11th or 12th grade
  • Students advancing into the 11th or 12th grade
  • Mandatory attendance at scheduled training workshops (2hrs one Saturday each month)
  • Students must actively participate in all workshops

PROGRAM OUTCOMES

  • Students are paid $10.00 per hour for workshop participation
  • Search mastery as it pertains to scholarships and universities
  • Interview and presentation skills
  • Well-designed resume
  • Proficiency in making university and scholarship applications
  • Fiscal responsibility before, during and after college/training
